Orchords is not maintaining a public job board right now. This page explains our current hiring status and how we handle future interest without promising open roles, compensation, benefits, or certifications that have not been formally published.

Current status

  • There are no public vacancies listed on orchords.com at this time.
  • We do not publish pay, benefits, location, or eligibility promises until a specific role is approved.
  • Any future role page will state the role, location model, engagement type, pay basis where applicable, selection steps, and contact route.
  • Unsolicited enquiries may be sent through the contact form, but they do not create a recruitment process or obligation to respond.
  • This page will be updated when a real public role exists.

Future role requirements

Requirements will be role-specific. We do not require every candidate, contractor, marketer, operator, or support applicant to hold the same technical certifications.

A. Platform skills

  • GitHub basics may be relevant for technical roles that work directly in repositories.
  • GitHub Actions may be relevant for roles responsible for CI/CD or release workflows.
  • Security awareness may be relevant for roles handling code, data, vendors, or production access.
  • Administration knowledge may be relevant only for roles trusted with organisation-level controls.
  • AI-assisted workflow literacy may be relevant where a role uses AI tools under documented review.

Certifications are listed only when a future role genuinely requires them.

B. Standards awareness

Some roles may benefit from familiarity with quality, security, privacy, accessibility, sustainability, or operations standards. A role posting will identify the specific standard and level of working knowledge needed.

For many roles

  • ISO 9001 — quality management vocabulary for process-heavy work.
  • ISO/IEC 27001 — information-security management vocabulary for roles handling sensitive systems or data.

Engineers & technical roles

  • ISO/IEC 27002 — security-control vocabulary that may support secure engineering work.
  • ISO/IEC 27017 — cloud-security vocabulary where a role works on hosted systems.
  • ISO/IEC 27018 — PII protection vocabulary where a role works on personal-data systems.
  • ISO/IEC 25010:2023 — the current product-quality model for software and ICT product evaluation.
  • ISO/IEC 20000-1 — service-management vocabulary where a role owns production support processes.

Designers

  • ISO 9241 — human-system interaction vocabulary for user-centred design work.
  • ISO 14915 — multimedia-interface ergonomics where relevant to product design.
  • WCAG 2.2 — accessibility guidance for web interfaces and content.
  • ISO 9001 — quality vocabulary for controlled design and review processes.

Marketing & communications

  • ISO 9001 — claim quality, content approval, and change-control vocabulary.
  • ISO 14001 — environmental-management vocabulary for careful sustainability statements.
  • ISO 26000 — social-responsibility vocabulary for public communications.
  • Privacy and security basics — because communications roles may handle lists, leads, or user messages.

Operations & support

  • ISO 31000 — risk-management vocabulary for operational decision-making.
  • ISO 22301 — business-continuity vocabulary where continuity planning is part of the role.
  • ISO 45001 — health-and-safety vocabulary where workplace responsibilities apply.
  • ISO 9001 — quality vocabulary for managed and measured processes.

C. Process literacy

Future roles may include process documentation or review. The exact expectation will depend on the job.

  • Read a procedure. Understand purpose, scope, owner, version, and required actions.
  • Draft a procedure. Write clear steps, responsibilities, references, and revision history when the role requires it.
  • Update a procedure. Record changes and obtain the required review before publishing.

Role-specific exercises, if any, will be shared during the process.

Selection process

A future hiring process may include interviews, work samples, references, or checks appropriate to the role. We will describe the process for each role before asking candidates to invest significant time.
